Cooper Hurley Supported Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity’s Fight Against Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is one of the biggest killers of women in the United States. Every year, more than 40,000 women die from this form of cancer and as many as one in eight women will develop it during their lifetime. Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers was happy to help the fight against breast cancer by recently making a donation to Zeta Tau Alpha.

The Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity is one of the great organizations that are dedicated to fighting breast cancer.

Recently, Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers made a small contribution to the cause by donating to the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha, Eta Xi chapter at Virginia Tech where Jim Hurley’s daughter Blair is a student.

This year, the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha, Eta Xi Chapter at Virginia Tech launched their fifth annual crown classic to promote breast cancer awareness and education.

Zeta Tau Alpha was set up to make a difference in the lives of its members by developing the potential of each individual.

It fosters strength of character by emphasizing leadership development, service to other people, academic achievement and continued personal growth, with an ongoing commitment to friendship and the future.

The fraternity has its roots in Virginia. More than 252,000 young women have been initiated into the sisterhood of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity since it was founded on Oct. 15, 1898, at the Virginia State Female Normal School, now Longwood University, in Farmville, Virginia.

You can find out more about the Zeta Tau Alpha chapter at Virginia Tech on its Facebook page.

Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers also made a donation to the Southeastern Virginia chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in October 2017.

Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease. It is the only cause of death among the top 10 causes in the country that cannot be cured, prevented or even slowed down.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association help advance research toward a possible cure and to care for and support those affected by dementia.

Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers supports many great causes every year. Please like our Facebook page to raise funds for the Virginia Beach SPCA. Contact Cooper Hurley at (757) 455-0077. We have a main office in Norfolk and convenient meeting locations in all of the cities of Hampton Roads.
