Fiery Emporia Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Injuries

We were concerned to read about a fiery Emporia tractor-trailer crash this morning that involved two big rigs.

Emporia police confirmed one of the drivers was transported to a local hospital after the Route 58 wreck but few other details were available.

The accident was reported at about 11 a.m., close to the Arby’s restaurant in Emporia which is near Market Drive, reported WAVY.com.

Images supplied to the Hampton Roads-based TV station by a viewer showed black smoke and flames coming from the cab of one of the trucks.

No details were available on the injuries to the driver who was hospitalized.
